Derc is an Associate with the Firm whose practice areas include business acquisitions and sales and healthcare transitions. Derc received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and earned her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, with a concentration in Law and Technology. During law school, Derc participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic, served as a research fellow for the Center for Policy and Research, and obtained the Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate.
Derc has a diverse range of experiences in various law sectors. She has represented clients in both housing and family law matters as a student-attorney. Prior to joining the Firm, Derc worked within the in-house legal team at a global technology company where she assisted in the implementation of privacy law guidelines and processes. Derc also worked as a law clerk in a firm where she assisted in the representation of local government entities. Prior to law school, Derc worked within the transactional sector at a large business immigration law firm.
