Kathryn Maxwell, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Biography

Kathryn is an Associate with the Firm who attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics and a Minor in Law and Society. She earned her Juris Doctor at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, graduating on the Dean’s List with a Jurisprudence Award. During law school, Kathryn was a member of the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic. As a SJC Rule 3:03 Certified Student Attorney, she did pro bono work to help individuals in the Greater Boston area with matters involving trademark applications and LLC formation. Kathryn also served as an Executive Board Member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Association and as a Teaching Assistant for Mandy Petrillo’s Sports Law class, gaining first-hand experience from the in-house counsel of the Fenway Management Group.

Kathryn has worked in a wide variety of different legal fields with an even wider variety of clients. Knowing she wanted to pursue law school, Kathryn spent her summers as an undergrad working at a real estate law firm, where she assisted in the creation of wills and real estate contracts. In addition, Kathryn worked for a Circuit Court Judge in Anne Arundel County, MD, where she reviewed legal memoranda, jury selections, and trials. Kathryn’s pro bono work at a nonprofit organization during law school enabled her to assist people who would otherwise be forgotten in preserving their legacies through nonprofit formations and trademark applications. Kathryn also simultaneously worked for both a real estate law firm and a sports law agency. As a law clerk at the real estate law firm, Kathryn worked with the Registry of Deeds and assisted in refinances, new purchase agreements, and the drafting of documents for sales. As a legal intern at the sports agency, Kathryn drafted talent agreements and endorsement contracts for retired professional athletes in the Boston area.
